JUAN ESTABA PERDIDO/

JUAN WAS LOST

Once upon a time, there was a boy named Juan who lived in a small village in the countryside. One day, Juan decided to explore beyond the hills and forests that surrounded his house. He wanted to discover exciting new places.

Juan asked his mom, "Can I go explore, Mom?"

His mom nodded and said, "Yes, Juan, but make sure to come back before dinner. And if you get lost, don't hesitate to ask for help."

No sabía qué dirección tomar.

Juan put on his shoes and began his adventure. He walked along a dirt path and soon reached a crossroads. He didn't know which direction to take. He approached a man who was standing there and asked, "Excuse me, can you tell me how to get to the river?"

The man smiled and said, "Of course, young man. Go down this path, turn left at the next junction, and walk straight. You'll reach the river in about 20 minutes."

Juan followed the directions and finally arrived at the river. It was a beautiful place with crystal-clear waters and green trees all around. He spent hours exploring and playing by the river.

When he decided to head back home, he realized he was a bit lost. He didn't remember the way back to the village. He felt nervous but remembered what his mom had told him about asking for help if he got lost.

Dijo: "Disculpe, señora, me he perdido. ¿Puede decirme cómo llegar al pueblo?"

Juan saw an older woman walking along the path and approached her. He said, "Excuse me, ma'am, I've gotten lost. Can you tell me how to get to the village?"

The woman smiled kindly and replied, "Of course, dear. You need to go back the same way you came, then turn right at the junction and keep going straight. You'll reach the village in about 30 minutes."

Juan followed the woman's directions and finally made it back to the village. He was relieved and grateful for the help he had received. He returned home just in time for dinner.

His mom asked him, "How was your adventure, Juan?"

Juan smiled and told her all about his day, including how he had asked for directions from the people he met along the way.

That night, Juan lay in his bed with a smile on his face. He had learned that if he ever got lost, he could ask for help, and kind people would be willing to guide him back home. Furthermore, he had discovered that his small village and its surroundings hid treasures of beauty and adventure that he had yet to fully explore.
